Book presentation: a manager's guide to the Internet of Things
Internet of Things explained to non technical audiences | Entando
Great day here at Entando...I’m glad to announce that tonight atl 18:30, in Milan, at the Copernico coworking, we’re officially presenting my book on IoT opportunities and scenarios.
The Internet of Things (IoT or Internet of Things) is an evolution of how the Internet can be used and leveraged: almost any “thing” can acquire network "intelligence" and can communicate with other objects, people, process. Thanks to IoT, for example, a manufacturer of industrial machinery gets to reduce by 40% the cost of maintenance services. You can break down by 30% the water needed to cultivate. The costs of a public lighting system can drop by 80%. That's why the Internet of things is not only a new technological model; that's why we talk about the "connected economy", a new era where connected things can bring to customers new experiences and user experiences.
This book is specifically designed to illustrate these various and immense possibilities. The first part is going to frame the Internet of Things phenomenon from a strategic point of view; the second is dedicated to explain how to address an IoT project; the third instead illustrates some emerging trends and hot topics. Lots of case studies have been mentioned to show that an interconnected world is practicable and possible.
The event is fully booked but you can join us on Twitter, #libroIoT.
