Digital Italia Team: Content, Ecosystem and Information Architecture Kits
In this second post, we look at three more kits: the Content kit, the Ecosystem Map, and the Information Architecture kit.
CONTENT KIT [DO]
The Content Kit offers workflow guidelines for creating and managing content. The kit proposes a model of management of resources and workflows, both for ordinary activities (creation, revision, organization, updating) and for extraordinary activities (translation, migration).

ECOSYSTEM MAP [UNDERSTAND]
Building a system map for any kind of service first requires identifying the subjects involved in making that service run. For each subject, you can identify the other subjects with whom it relates and then describe the basis for their connection to each other (called a stakeholder matrix) or the exchange of values, information, documents, or other interchanges (called a system map). The kit presents several structures that facilitate analyzing relationships between subjects.
The kit contains:
- Stakeholder map
- Construction of a system map
- Presentation of a system map

INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE [CONCEIVE]
Information architecture is the practice behind structuring content in a coherent, clear, and intuitive way. We can define it as the configuration of information contents: it allows users to navigate through coherent and functional systems with clarity, and to reach the information that they are looking for efficiently. The kit is still being developed, and will ultimately contain the tools needed to build the content map, perform card sorting, and construct the navigation tree.

In the next post we will talk about the kits dedicated to User Interviews, Personas, User Journeys, and User Stories.
