Seeking IT talent in the Digital Transformation era
Digital transformation is radically transforming every aspect of business.
The World Economic Forum estimated that digital transformation has the potential to create as much as $100 trillion in combined value for both industry and society by 2025.
As IDG reported in the “State of Digital Transformation” Report, 89% of organizations have adopted or have plans to adopt a digital first strategy and 44% have already started implementing a digital first approach to business processes, operations and customer engagement, and they’re actively working on adopting newer technologies.
Digital transformation is also a people issue, and successful digital transformation requires equal attention to change management and workforce strategy in organizations.
New developments in cloud computing, IoT, and artificial intelligence are adding additional pressure to transform enterprise offerings while delivering improved, customer-centered solutions and avoiding exponentially rising development costs as the number of applications increase.
According to the Web Economic Forum in “The Future of Jobs” report, among the several roles that are set to experience increasing demand up to 2022, we can find Data Analysts and Software and Applications Developers. Also expected to grow are roles that leverage distinctively ‘human' skills, such as Customer Service, Sales and Digital Marketing Professionals, Training and Development, and Organizational Development Specialists, as well as Innovation Managers.
